Ensuring Accountability and Excellence in Our Local Schools

As parents, relatives, citizens, and taxpayers, we bear the financial responsibility for the operations of our local schools. Contributions from federal, state, and county taxes collectively fund these institutions. Given the significant financial investments involved, it is important to establish citizen oversight. These schools are entrusted with the education of our children, who will eventually become contributing members of society.

Consequently, we must monitor their progress for both personal and societal well-being. From an emotional and spiritual standpoint, it is important to recognize that our innocent children are placed daily in an environment that is constantly evolving. The individuals in authority at these schools should regard these children as belonging to the community at large, not just to themselves.

Despite our financial contributions and the enrollment of our children in these institutions, there remains a gap in our understanding of their inner workings. What standards and expectations should we uphold? – Transparency – Respect for traditional values – Adherence to rigorous academic standards and pursuit of excellence – Recognition of parents’ rights – Emphasis on foundational skills in reading and mathematics.

YCFOIA will continue to delve into these principles, as transparency is essential for gaining and maintaining trust. We welcome your input, questions, and constructive feedback.
